City Lights at Town Center Apartments in Aliso Viejo, California

I came to City Lights in 2015 looking for a safe place to live after a divorce. I pay $1900 a month for a small singles bedroom with pet charges and storage. And the rent keeps going up. They put me up on the 4th floor since I was a smoker. 9 months later Corpirare decided to create a non-smoking environment. So quit smoking or go out on the street. I admitted I was a smoker and was trying to quit. In less then 4 months I suddenly started getting nasty threatening letters from the Assistrnt Manager Luke Spindrer and he would deliver them with this condescending tone shaking the letter in my face stating “YOU PEOPLE” need to go outside away from the property to smoke. The second letter he claimed I was seen smoking on dates I was not even home. In fact, on one of the dates he recorded I was in the hospital facing treatments for a brain tumor. I since got a letter from the legal bullies threatening eviction quoting a one-sided conversation I had with MR. Spibdler that was completely fabricated. I get it is non-smoking, although to be bullied and harassed by some “wanta be” punk hiding behind a peon title making accusations that are provenly impossible for me to be in 2 places at the same time pushed me to let him know that he was out-right rude and disrespectful as I am a Senior Citizen, quite and friendly tenant who pays the obnoxious rent that keeps going up, and he needed to stay his distance. He totally distorted our conversation and now they threaten to kick me out??? Since I have been here on the top floor that takes 10 minutes extra to drive down in an unsafe parking structure, very difficult to walk a big dog and bugs constantly flying up from the drain. My car was broken into as well as my apartment. The noise is constant with parties and loud music. Adolescents are doing drugst on the roof parking where my car is as a nightly habit. I thought City Lights was my friend and turned out to be my enemy. As little as I smoke, I explained to Mr. Spindler I go outside! I’m out of here! Security sucks and my safety is an issue. If you have barking dogs, crying kids, smoke, or any minute issue, stay away from here! They are haters, burglars, drugs, vandalism and they call the cops over everything. It seems the cops are always here. Mr. Spindler even called the cops on the homeless people across the street. This place is enough to make you start smoking! They think it is such a privilege to live here!!!! My opinion is to go where your celebrated not tolerated and pushed out on the street! Shea Corpiration owns the monopoly of OC and keeps sucking money to get richer so we get poorer and end up with the homeless across the street! I guess it’s their world and I’m definitely not nor do I want to be apart of bullies, cowards and complete lack of integrity! No problem. Your doing me a favor, we’ll see what the game is going to be on my deposit and any extra fees charged for moving out! I got big legal guns too! My motherly advice....run as fast as you can!
